Square Impact LoRaWAN
Square Impact is a multi-sensor designed for impact, vibration, and motion analysis in industrial environments. It measures shock, vibration patterns, tilt, and temperature, enabling early detection of risks, improved safety, and data-driven maintenance.
Using a highly sensitive 3D accelerometer, Square Impact captures motion across all axes and provides insight into how assets and structures behave over time.
With a high-capacity battery and event-driven operation, it delivers 10+ years of operation, enabling long-term, maintenance-free deployments.
Typical use cases
- Predictive maintenance of motors, fans, and rotating machinery
- Monitoring of warehouse racks and structural integrity
- Impact detection on assets and equipment
- Usage tracking for vehicles and machinery
- Theft detection and movement alerts
Key advantages
- Accurate impact and vibration detection across three axes
- FFT-based analysis for frequency and pattern recognition
- Event-driven operation for low power consumption
- 10+ years battery life for long-term operation
- Multi-function sensor including tilt and temperature
- Ruggedized design for industrial environments
- Easy configuration via NFC using an Android smartphone
Advanced capabilities
Square Impact includes built-in FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis, enabling detection of vibration patterns and anomalies associated with wear or mechanical failure.
The sensor can be configured to trigger on impact events such as shocks, hits, or drops, or to monitor vibration continuously or on schedule. It can also detect tilt and movement changes.
Positioning
Square Impact supports Wi-Fi-based positioning by scanning nearby Wi-Fi MAC addresses, with location calculated via a cloud-based location service.
This enables positioning in indoor or GPS-denied environments and allows correlation between events and location.
This functionality requires a compatible cloud service such as Sensative Yggio.
Installation
Square Impact can be mounted using adhesive, cable ties, or screws with a mounting frame, enabling secure installation across a wide range of industrial surfaces.
