Strips Z-Wave Troubleshooting Guide
General
If the LED does not flash at all during magnet contact on either side, please contact Sensative support.
Please make sure that the device is not mounted on any metal and the distance between gateway and Strips is not too far.
Sometimes it can take a longer time for the long blink to appear, please keep monitoring the LED 10-15 seconds after the reset pattern has been performed. If it still does not work, then contact technical support.
How to perform the reset pattern on Strips:
Inclusion and pairing
We recommend performing the inclusion process close to the gateway preferanly with a free line of sight. Make sure the gateway is online with a stabile internet connection. The Strips might be included elsewhere or not in an inclusion-ready state, to make the device available for inclusion again, please perform the Strips reset pattern. Check the label underneath Strips and make sure that the device is the correct region e.g. EU, US ,etc.
Make sure you have the correct drivers/applications for Strips installed on your gateway/hub. If you do, then remove the device from the gateway app, perform a reset on the Strips, and attempt another inclusion.
Remove the Strips from your gateway and perform a reset on the device. Include it once again and try keep a clear line of sight between Strips and your gateway. You might need to retry this a few times.
Configuration and data
Configurations will only take effect during Wake-up in Strips, which occurs every 12 hours by default. Different gateways will set different Wake-up intervals but should not exceed 12 hours, in a few cases it's 24 hours. If you want the configuration to be effective immediately, perform the Wake-up pattern by swiping the round edge 3 times with a magnet (same pattern is used for inclusion/pairing and exclusion.
Guard 700
Change configuration parameter 1 "Notification type" to either 0 or 2. If the previous does not solve the problem, reset the device, remove it from your gateway app/portal and include it again.
Drip 700
Changes in humidity, dust or other environmental variables may contribute to the sensor detecting moisture. When this happens we recommend that you perform a calibration of the sensor so that the current moisture level will be set to 0 (completely dry). Make sure that the device is actually completely dry before calibrating it. To calibrate your Drip device, please check configuration settings in your gateway app/portal. If not specifically listed, set parameter 23 to 1 (size 1 byte).
Changes in humidity, dust or other environmental variables may contribute to the sensor detecting moisture levels above the alarm threshold. You may also want to set the leakage/moisture alarm level higher than 10 (default), to do so please check configration settings in your gateway app/portal.
If not specifically listed, set parameter 14 to the desired level (0 - 100), size 1 byte). Keep in mind that calibration and new configuration settings does not take effect until the next Wake-up (default every 12 hour) or when manually trigged (inclusion/pairing pattern).
Comfort 700
Not all gateways supports the slider switch, please check that the device was properly included.
